One of my best friends, Kara, got married September 1st. Since she is Catholic she decided to get married in the Catholic Church at midnight on her wedding day! I was so happy I could take pictures for them so they could remember their midnight ceremony. Seventeen hours later they got married in front of all their friends and family at Anaheim Hills Golf Course. It was a fun time!

One Saturday in August I woke up bright and early and headed up to Santa Barbara around 7AM to take an all day class at the Brooks Institute. I was really looking forward to this class since I wasn’t able to go to the one they offered in May and it went over the basics of manual mode on your DSLR camera. I already understood what manual mode was on my camera but it was nice to have someone there to ask questions to and I was able to get some one-on-one time since there were only 15 people in the class. Sammy’s camera representatives also came in to answer questions on our specific cameras.
Once we were done going through the instructors power point slide presentation we partnered up with someone else in the class and went out on the streets of Santa Barbara to do some assignments. Luckily there was one other girl in our class that had the same camera as me (just the newer model) so we paired up and were able to talk about our particular camera. Once we were done with the assignments we went back to the classroom and downloaded all of our photos so we could see everyone else’s in the class. Overall I think it was a good experience and was glad I went. It definitely made me feel more comfortable using the manual mode on my camera!
Below are some photos I shot that day.

Last week I was asked to take Payton’s two year old photos! I didn’t have much time to think about ideas but luckily I stopped by CVS on my way to Mason Regional Park in Irvine. CVS to the rescue with a really big rainbow lollipop and some bubbles to keep her happy throughout our photo shoot! ðŸ˜‰ She is such a cute little girl and I think we got some great shots! Enjoy the photos!:)

I’ve been lagging with blogging so here we go again:)A couple weeks ago my friend Byrtni from high school asked me to take photos at her grandma’s 80th surprise birthday party. It was the first event I’ve photographed so I was excited! Yellow was also the main color in their party decor which is one of my favorites 😉 Here are some of my favorites from the day.

I had been looking forward to this photo session for quite some time! So when I got the text that Baby D (that’s what we referred to her as before she was born since her parents didn’t know if she was going to be a boy or a girl) had arrived and was a girl I was super excited! Especially since I had text Jill a cute newborn girl outfit a couple days before:)I got to meet sweet Keira Marie when she was only 5 days old. She is the daughter of my good friend Jill (& her husband Matt) who I have known since middle school, cheered with in high school, and who was one of my bridesmaids in my wedding! Keira is the first newborn I’ve photographed so I definitely learned how patient you need to be to get some great shots 😉 But overall she was a great model! Enjoy the photos…
